Sunshine and Blue Skies at Fort Funston
I recently made the move from Los Angeles up to the Bay Area and have been so excited to explore all of the beautiful spots Northern California has to offer. Having lived in San Francisco for 3 years prior to moving to SoCal, I have spent countless hours taking walks along the Pacific Coast at Fort Funston. When my upcoming wedding clients selected this spot for their pre-wedding shoot, I was beyond thrilled to revisit this spot.
Fort Funston a beautiful park with hiking trails and fields overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It offers sweeping views and and a calm atmosphere for a couples session. There is so much space to move around and many different locations to get a variety of photos! One of the most unique aspects of this park is that it is an off-leash dog park. Seeing all of the little pups running around was such a great way to relax into the fun and casual vibes of this session.
We arrived just about an hour before the breathtaking, golden sunset, and we eagerly prioritized playing around with the wide open space that surrounded us! During the winter and spring season fog sometimes rolls in as it pleases, but we got super lucky with this stunning sunny evening. This enchanting session was characterized by an incredible sense of freedom and dynamic movement, all beautifully set against the stunning backdrop of the sweeping, picturesque Pacific Ocean. I wanted to genuinely capture the vivid and captivating scenery of this remarkable location for this lovely California couple - and I must say, these photos turned out absolutely epically, capturing the essence of the moment perfectly! I felt like I was watching a movie as I was photographing these two running through fields of wildflowers.
I had an absolute blast at this beautiful location with these two wonderful individuals, and I can’t wait to continue capturing and documenting their Northern California nuptials at their ceremony in the vibrant heart of Downtown San Francisco.
