Some weddings are elaborate productions. Kirsten and Luka’s was something better: a day that felt exactly like them.

They got married at San Francisco City Hall, surrounded by a small circle of the people they love most. The building is iconic for good reason. The marble, the arches, the grand staircase with its gold railings, it holds ceremony in a way few spaces can. But what made the day memorable had nothing to do with the architecture. It was the way Luka looked at Kirsten during the ring exchange, heads bent together, the world temporarily very small.

Kirsten wore a sleek, strapless gown with a gorgeous veil, classic and clean, the kind of look that belongs to no particular era. She carried a small bouquet with a pop of purple flowers she collected from Trader Joe’s the morning of.

After City Hall, the day moved outside to Tunnel Tops, with the Golden Gate Bridge sitting right there in the background like it was always part of the plan. Champagne was poured, petals flew, and the wind did whatever it wanted with everyone’s hair. It was the tonal shift the day needed: from the solemnity of vows to pure, uncomplicated joy.

The celebration ended at Piccino Presidio, which is the perfect backdrop for an intimate dinner reception with your closest friends and family! We ended our day with a quick and playful flash photography session as the couple shared some slices of pizza.

If you are dreaming of a San Francisco City Hall wedding followed by something spontaneous and a little cinematic, I would love to be there for it.
